Through the Legendary Eight
The piece was designed as a journey through the eight historic distilleries behind the release. Using topographical landscape data as a starting point, we extruded the terrain into a sculptural 3D world where gold moved through valleys, ridges and mineral forms. Houdini liquid simulations gave the journey its flow, while lighting, colour and compositing brought the blue marble world into one continuous product film.

Gees.Studio collaborated with More Global and Oliver UK to create a cinematic motion piece for Johnnie Walker Blue Label’s Legendary Eight campaign. The work used mineral texture, sculptural terrain and gold liquid simulation to build an abstract journey through depth, craft and legacy.
Realistic terrain and gold liquid simulations were created using Houdini. I brought everything together in After Effects, fine-tuning lighting, colour, and overall visual harmony to deliver a captivating and immersive experience.
